Denmark produces oil and natural gas, with PWYP member Oxfam IBIS joining the coalition as part of the campaign for mandatory disclosures across the EU in 2011. BIS played an important role during Denmark’s European presidency in helping secure the EU Accounting and Transparency Directives, obliging all EU listed and registered companies to publish their payments to governments. These cover Danish extractive companies such as Maersk and DONG.
